The Eastern Shore Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will sponsor its annual Valentine Cabaret on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Elks Lodge #1766 in Accomac. This year’s caberet will include a dinner from 7 to 8:30 p.m. with entertainment provided by Musical Vibes’ D.J. Mel from 9 p.m until closing. Each year the alumni chapter sponsors a cabaret to raise money for local high school scholarships and community projects the chapter supports. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased from any member of the Kappa Alumni Chapter or contact Tony Washington Jr. at 787-8321, Wayne Bell at 442-6147 or 678-6383, or Willie Randall at 442-4010. |

An open-to-the-public Sweetheart Dance from 7-10 p.m. at the American Legion Post 56 in Cheriton with live music by the “Harmoneers.” Doors open at 5 p.m. and live music starts at 7 p.m. The event is B.Y.O.B. (liquor only). Beer and wine is available at bar. Setups and soft drinks are $1. There are complimentary hors d’oeuvres. There are reserve tickets available by calling 331-2123 or pay at the door. Proceeds benefit the American Legion’s programs. Tickets are $25 per person. |
